We developed this product to further evolve Edge Beveler.
It has been commonly accepted on the market that Edge Bevelers have dull blades. The finish quality of the edge is one of the most important parts for leather craft so we created these tools in response to user’s expectations.

There are some points to be considered when developing this product.
1. To make the leather edge cut in a semicircle from the beginning.
2. To make it easy to sharpen the edge by yourself.
3. The Edger Blade sharpening set should be included from the beginning.
4. increase the blade width of No.0(0.6mm)/No.4(1.4mm) to meet more detailed needs.

① The back side of the blade portion is processed into a semicircle shape.
There are two reasons.
(1) Leather edge is cut into a semicircle from the beginning.
(2) To make it easy to sharpen the blade in accordance with the shape of the sharpenig rod used for sharpening.
Our artisan sharpens the blades on a one by one basis and tests them on leather sheets, to make sure that it cuts very well.
We ship the tools, putting oil on to the blades to prevent rust and cover it with a vinyl tube to protect it.

②Using tool steel, tempered whole tool, gray coating prevents rust.

③Engraving the size number and “MADE IN JAPAN” (OKA Factory manufacturing certificate) (Total 5 variations)

How to sharpen a blade

How to resharpen the blade:
If you feel the blade sharpness is becoming dull, you can polish the blade part with leather sheet and polishing compound.
Rub Polishing compound and a few drops of oil on the trimmed edge of the leather sheet, put the blade part on the leather and pull off at a fixed angle and polish the blade.
If you can’t get the sharpness with the process above, you can use the attached Sharpening Rod and Water resistant paper.
Putting the paper on the Rod adding some drops of water, pulling off the blade part along the Rod and polish the blade.
If you can’t sharpen the blade well, you can use our “Resharpen blade business”.
