Item Name
Harness Needles (S) ⌀1.05mm×50mm (Exclusive for Leather Craft)
Size
S ⌀1.05mm×50mm
Use
Used for hand-sewing leather.
The tip is rounded with blunt point to make it easier to pass through the hole punched by Diamond hole punches.
Characteristics
This is a leather hand-sewing needle developed exclusively for leather craft.
We were particular about [six points].
1. The tip must be bullet-shaped.
2. Be particular about materials.
3. To insist on Tempered.
4. The needle hole must be difficult to break.
5. To have springiness to bend back.
6. To make four types of needles.
When hand-sewing leather, do not use needles with sharp tips.
This is because, unlike cloth, leather is a special material that cannot be sewn without making holes.
Using a sharp needle can get caught in the leather hole or damage the thread, causing it to fray.
A needle with a rounded tip is used for leather hand-stitching.
The rounded tip does not get caught in the leather and does not damage the thread.
Please select a needle according to the size of Diamond hole punches, the thickness of the thread, and the thickness of the leather.

【Characteristics】
1.【The tip must be bullet-shaped !】
Our needles are originally processed from sharp needles.
Before Tempered, [the sharp needle is rounded at the tip using a whetstone].
When hand-stitching leather, even the slightest sharpness and snagging can make the needle very difficult to work with and difficult to use.
We are particular about the bullet-shaped tip.
We aimed for a [stress-free needle] that does not snag in the leather and does not damage the thread.
2.【Be particular about materials !】
Inexpensive needles are not made of the best materials.
This is because the object to be sewn is cloth, and as long as the needle is sharp, it can be sewn.
Leather hand stitching is a unique method of sewing by pulling one thread with two needles.
Durability to pry [inside the leather with the tip of a needle] and durability of the needle hole not to break when the thread is pulled by hand are required.
Leather hand stitching requires a considerable amount of force on a thin needle.
If the material is inferior, it will not stand up to leather hand stitching and will quickly bend or break during use.
For this reason, we are particular in our selection of materials and use special tool steels.
3.【To insist on Tempered !】
No matter how good the material is and how good the needle is made, if it is not "hardened," it is just an iron bar, like a nail, and will bend easily.
It is no exaggeration to say that quenching determines the durability of needles.
For this reason, we are particular about Tempered.
4.【The needle hole must be difficult to break !】
Needle hole shape is very important.
The needle must have an outside diameter that is easy to pass through leather, must be able to thread thick threads, and must have a large, strong shape.
Therefore, we aimed to create a needle hole shape that could withstand the force applied by hand-sewing leather.
5.【To have springiness to bend back !】
The thickness of leather hand-stitched is very thick compared to cloth.
Also, at the end of sewing, thread one hole twice.
The springiness of the needle is very important in order to thread a thick thread through a thin hole.
We aimed to create a springy needle that bends back to withstand leather hand stitching.
6.【To make four types of needles !】
Threads come in a variety of thicknesses.
Holes in the leather also vary in size.
We have created four different types of needles to handle all aspects of leather hand-sewing.
